If your goal is to challenge, change, or
dismantle the status quo CYC wants to work with you.

We begin working with new clients during a comprehensive planning session in
order to identify what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to change with
communications, marketing, and public relations in order to ensure success
going forward. After putting a plan down on paper (with a clear timeline and due
dates for action items), CYC will then use data as the foundation for
creativity in our work together.

Branding a new initiative from The National LGBT Bar: What’s in a name?

The National LGBT Bar

CYC was hired by the National LGBT Bar just weeks before its popular annual Lavender Law Conference.

The challenge? Create launch materials for a still-unnamed new training initiative that would make its debut at the conference.

First things first, Casie and Liz took the time to listen and ask lots of questions of the new initiative team. Realizing that you only have one chance to make a first impression, they prioritized getting the name of the new initiative right. Once that was settled, they were confident the rest of the messaging would fall into place.

CYC recommended naming the new educational and consulting opportunity in a way that includes the already trademarked Lavender Law™. By including Lavender Law™ in the name of the new offering, the National LGBT Bar would capitalize on 30 years of brand recognition for the organization’s largest and most well-known event.

The Bar was presented with three name options and ultimately chose Lavender Law 365™.  This name is a reminder that the transformative societal change envisioned by the National LGBT Bar is holistic and lasts all year, not just the few days of the Lavender Law™ Conference and Job Fair.

“I really feel CYC captured everything we wanted and needed in a name with Lavender Law 365, “ said Dru Levasseur, Deputy Program Officer at the National LGBT Bar and Lavender Law 365 trainer. “Their messaging expertise and skills in speechwriting and powerpoint creation gave me everything I needed to confidently introduce the Lavender Law 365 program to a national audience of my peers in the law profession.”
